This pair is for my son Zach. The yarn is Plymouth Yarn Co.'s Happy Feet (I'm a big fan of Plymouth). Basic socks: 64 stitches knit from the cuff down. Begin with an inch and a half of 1x1 rib and then switch to 3x1 rib for the leg. Standard slip-stitch heel and decrease gusset. I'm knitting them on two circular needles, but I think they would have knit-up faster on three needles.
Advent has been full of baking, shopping, wrapping, writing Christmas cards, playing board games, doing crossword puzzles, walks in the woods, singing, and reading aloud Christmas story books. My heart is thankful; my days are merry and bright.
