"There is one order of beauty that seems made to turn heads. It is a beauty like that of kittens, or very small downy ducks making gentle rippling noises with their soft bills, or babies just beginning to toddle." T.S. Eliot
It snowed over the weekend, which gave me a good excuse to stay inside, drink tea, write and knit. While sitting at my desk, I felt something rub against my foot. I had to look down to see whether it was a cat, the bunny, or pug. It suddenly dawned on me that there are more pets in this house than people--and that's saying something, considering that there are seven of us.

If something rubs on my leg I know it is one animal and that is Frodo. Wasn't the snow wonderful this weekend! I loved watching it fall. Glad you got your knitting time in.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...he is just adorable. Pets bring joy to our daily lives :0)... except when they do something naughty ;D

I love your bunny! We have an angora rabbit named Tallulah Bankhead.
ReplyDeleteHa, we now have more animals than people too, something I hadn't really thought about before now.
Oh well, they keep life interesting, especially when I have to run through the field in my robe chasing a chicken!
Oh my, how cute!! I can't help but think of the Beatrix Potter Peter Rabbit movies when Peter is sitting on her desk sniffing the tea! He or she, is just adorable! They're so soft. We have lots more pets than people, but all of ours are outside, although, a few come in when the weather is really bad. :-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your snow days!
My first reaction to this post? AWWWWW! Come to think of it, we have a one-to-one ration of pets to people here. I'm up for more but my family... not so much.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty bunny. I, too, think of Beatrix Potter with this picture!
ReplyDeleteI love this quote by T.S. Eliot...it simply sums it up. Your bunny is adorable.
ReplyDeletei took my just-about-to-toddle baby with me this morning to feed our neighbor's rabbits and chickens. the baby was delighted!
