October Diary

 

 

 

While I was out feeding the chickens this morning the wind tossed leaves down on me like confetti.  It made me want to spread my arms and twirl like I used to when I was a little girl. So I did :- ).  It was fun. 

My day was books, paper, pencils, crayons and glue....washing clothes...errands around town...a trip to the library...pumpkin ice cream from Trader Joe's...and the second heel turned on a pair of socks for Emmeline <3  (show and tell on Wednesday).

Last night we watched Alfred Hitchcock's, The Birds. I've seen this movie at least five times now, but it never fails to scare me. I opened a new bag of chicken feed yesterday (same brand I always buy) and filled the feeder. Usually the hens completely empty the feeder each day, but this morning the feeder was still full. They never touched their food. If you are familiar with the movie at all, then you can imagine how much this freaked me out!
