A Week In November

:: First snow of the season was Wednesday. Elvis was astonished and delighted; funny puppy!
:: Saw a flock of ten wild turkeys on the way to the library.
:: Started reading a good book: Here On Earth, by Alice Hoffman (who is fast becoming one of my favorite authors).
:: Watched a Hallmark Christmas movie with my family, which put me in the spirit of things.
:: Began making lists for Christmas!  And collecting ideas for things to make and do with my children.
:: Walked in the windy woods. Luke had fun balancing on a fallen tree. We watched a large flock of geese land on the pond. We saw a great blue heron, a nuthatch, and a large woodpecker.
:: Thought about how wrong we are about some things being "just as good".
:: Really enjoyed being with my children.
:: Got lost in my husband's eyes.
:: Cried for the old friends I am missing.
:: Made a pan of brownies.
:: Knit a pair of mittens for Luke.
:: Thought about how misguided feminists were in defining their movement in male terms:  equal pay for equal work. What man can give birth? What man can breastfeed? Surely the good work that women do has worth even if it doesn't earn a wage.
:: Talked to my mom on the phone.
:: Prayed and sang.
