⚜   I think it was Friday that I took the video clip of the leaves coming down. It was a magical, breathtaking moment, but by the time I had my camera in-hand, it was almost over. Only seconds before, the air shimmered with gold.

⚜  We watched the latest Aurora Teagarden mystery on the Hallmark Channel this weekend. (I love cheesy made-for-tv movies. The cheesier the better.) I made these wonderful gingerbread cookies and popcorn. We lit candles and snuggled under blankets: cozy-happy.

⚜  That gingerbread recipe is the best I've ever made. The cookies have a perfect flavor and texture, and the dough is soft, easy to handle, and doesn't need to be refrigerated.

⚜  I'm knitting something soft, lovely, and gingerbread-y,  too.

⚜  Indiana Jones loves Halloween. He wears his black cat costume all year round. : )

⚜  There are exactly two months until Christmas. Yay!

  2. I laughed when I read that you love cheesy tv movies, so does my sister and she makes sure to see them all.
I adore gingerbread and was just telling my Alex that I wanted to bake some cookies so thank you so much for the recipe link, I am thrilled that it doesn't need to be refrigerated [by the time the dough is chilled I have usually lost the desire to bake.
Miss Bette Davis love Halloween and her black costume too.

    1. My best friend sent me the entire Hallmark "countdown to Christmas" movie line up the other day. I'm so excited! You will love the cookies, Tracey. They dough doesn't need to be refrigerated, but it does need to "rest" at room temperature for 2 hours. Is Alex a senior this year? Amy is, too. She loves to write letters. Let me know if he would ever be interested in a penpal from up north. : )

  4. The cookies look great, and thanks for the recipe.
Are you sure that's not my Frodo Baggins, instead of Indiana Jones? They could pass for twins!
Love your yarn color. Looking forward to seeing what you're making. :-)
    Enjoy your day!

  5. I also tried filming falling leaves today - then they'd stop. But the yellow raining down was so pretty!
The cookie recipe is one I'll have to remember, if they're so extremely good. :)

    1. Lisa, the cookies are extremely good. The foliage this year is particularly bright, don't you think?

  6. I always want to capture the leaves, too. You did a lovely job. We are soaked with rain, but I feel the weekend will bring rakes and big piles and fun. Those cat cookies look so nice.
