15° F outside and a snowstorm on the way. I've loaded up the feeders with black oil sunflower seed for my wild friends. Our rescue panther Indiana Jones is enjoying the view. : ) I'm determined to finish this cardigan in January (I started it last year--so strange to say that!) I love the pattern, but the sizing is w a y off. Other Ravelers have wisely knit this pattern two sizes up--and complain that it is still snug. It definitely won't fit me. Oh well, another one for the daughters!
Happy New Year to you! We sit here in the same storm but it's about 15 degrees colder! I haven't found words for this new year yet. It holds so many changes for our family. I don't know if I have the courage to look far ahead!
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah : ) There are many changes ahead for my family, too. God will give us the courage we need one day at a time. ♥ I have never selected a word for the year, but if I had to choose one for 2014 it would be: Trust.
DeleteI am glad you are back to writing. I have missed you. It has been snowing here all morning but not accumulating much. It is very fine and falling nicely to the ground. Later we will see it pile up :) Happy New Year! My animals would love the view as well. Have a beautiful day!

Hi Janet : ) Thank you for your kind comment! I love to watch the snow fall, too. I don't even mind shoveling it if it's the light, fluffy kind--it's invigorating to be outside in the brisk, fresh air.
DeleteWhat a shame, Susan! And such a gorgeous design. (not to mention your perfection in technique)
ReplyDeleteI'm just glad I have two girls in the house that the sweater will fit. ; )
DeleteSuch lovely pictures. I really like the way the light lies so golden on your table.
ReplyDeleteThank you ♥
DeleteJanuary is an excellent time to work on big knitting projects! We have snow and chilly weather and I think later today will be shawl knitting :)
ReplyDeleteI am in my glory in January--there's no better time to indulge in knitting, crossword puzzles, and books!
DeleteDO SOMETHING WITH THAT SWEATER!! Or hide it. I've restarted a vest 4 times for me and having trouble getting it going again! You can DO IT!!
